ABOUT
JAMM and the SUITE de la MADONNE, are two holidays accomodations, in the heart of Uzège, in a small village in the Gard Provençal area, just eight kilometers from Uzès. Between the Cévennes, Ardèche, Luberon and Camargue.

JAMM and the SUITE de la MADONNE, welcome you in the private enclosure of LA MAISON DU PRIEUR.
This priory, dating from Roman times, is part of the small historical heritage of the village. The house, surrounded by high stone walls, guarantees discretion and privacy.
Located in the center of the village, this extremely gentle, simple and refined place will satisfy people in search of beauty, calm and peace.

The two main buildings are separated by a very pretty gate and a profusion of rosebushes, jasmines, laurels and olive trees.

La SUITE de la MADONNE
Breakfast
JAMM is an independent part, a tiny house, and breakfast is not included.
On the other hand, breakfast is included with the Suite de la Madonne.

Very good Wi-Fi connection in JAMM, the garden and the Salon de la Madonna.

Garden
In front of the pool, enjoy the sun, in the small south-facing garden, between Laurier centenaire and Olivier.
Two terraces paved with Beaucaire bars border the swimming pool.
One is a Lounge under a 13th century vault, with a sofa that invites you to relax. The other is shaded by jasmine, very pleasant when it's hot.
Pool
The indoor outdoor swimming lane is heated and treated with salt. It is available to guests and owners, to cool off and relax.
(6m x 1.5m, depth 130cm).
Not suitable for children under 140cm who cannot swim.
Household
Sanitary standards being reinforced, disinfection at all, imposes a significant surplus of work; the cleaning fee is 90€ and counted as an extra.
The Place to Bix
L'Abrix Bar: Located in the heart of the village, in a listed 16th century courtyard, L'Abrix is the place for all conviviality.
During the summer, the associative bar, participative and creative, organizes many activities.
From the residence of starred chefs, where for a modest price, you can taste bistronomy, tapas boards, local products, natural wine, to small outdoor concerts, the place is ideal for going out or eating. without taking the car.
Note: we do not experience any noise pollution despite the proximity.

L'Epicerix: In the same place, a Local-food grocery store, offers an assortment of very high quality products: fresh bread to order, fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheeses, natural wines... all products within a radius of less five kilometers around the village.

Above the Abrix, the Media Library offers loans of books and DVDs.
Uzege
Uzès dominates the Eure valley. Its silhouette is recognizable at first glance. Its perfectly preserved medieval architecture is enchanting: worthy of a movie set!
The title of "City of Art and History" and its registration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site are amply deserved.
Let's set off together to discover this emblematic city, compared more than once to a real "Tuscan city".

The beautiful Provence Gardoise, calm and romantic, awaits you only 3 hours from Paris via AvignonTGV.
6h of Brussels by train and 1h40 by plane.
4 hours from Barcelona by car.
1 hour from La Camargue, 1 hour from the Cévennes.
At the gates of the historic cities of Arles, Avignon, Montpellier, Nîmes and a few meters from the magnificent scrubland which goes from the Cévennes to the Ardèche.

In the morning, find local products, craftsmen, perfumes and colors of the markets of the South.

Tuesday : St Quentin la Poterie, 2km away, Farmers' Market.
Wednesday: Uzès, 8km, One of the finest farmers' markets in France.
Friday : St Quentin la Poterie, large market.
Saturday: Uzès, very large market throughout the city.

For gourmets, don't miss the fresh tapenades, tommes de brebis, goat cheeses, cod brandade of the day, fruit jellies from Solan Monastery, sublime peonies and ranunculus from the producer in season...

The owner being, among other things, massage therapist and psycho-corporal therapist, it is possible to order "tailor-made" massages.

Artist Residence
Out of season, La Maison du Prieur becomes an Artist's residence. The conditions are to be seen with the owner. Only by file to be sent on his email.
The house does not lend itself to disciplines that stain, but is open to all other forms of arts.
The owner loves musical emulation and often invites other artists to work with her in creation.
Goldfish
In the Maison du Prieur, you will certainly come across a shy cat, a care bear dog and you will hear many birds singing. Apart from Goldfish in their jar, outside animals are not allowed.

The Camargue, pink flamingos, horses in the middle of nature.
The Saltworks of Giraud. Aigues Morte and its superb ramparts. Saintes Maries de la Mer. The ponds of Thaux where to taste oysters from the producer to the consumer!
We are not so far from the splendid Calanques of Marseille, nor from Barcelona...
